Today Running Girl and I ran 6 miles and gained a half minute in our mile time. Woot! As much as I hate the loss of speed and distance when I get sick, it always amazes me how quickly it comes back. Working in some intervals and hills and we'll be back to a flat 10 minute mile or better.
In unrelated news, DH has decided that we need to have a raccoon as a pet someday.
I have visions of waking up and hearing the refridgerator door opening while the Coon helps himself to a midnight snack. Maybe we can train him to turn on the water and rinse whatever he's interested in eating? Wouldn't want him to ingest any pesticides.
Oh, and he also wants a bat.

I'm never going to have house guests, am I?

Um, love the raccoon idea (bat, not so much!). We had friends that had a raccoon named Hattie and she was so freaking cute! Long story short, she was left my the mother in the attic and when she was big enough, they released her into the wild. But tell Eric that it can be done! :)
ReplyDeleteRachel, he doesn't need the encouragement! Please don't send a raccoon with Josh next week. I may be forced to delete you as a follower and I LOVE my followers. =)
DeleteEeek! My cats caught a couple of bats and brought them into the house once, yuck!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking if I had a vote it would be for the raccoon.
Jen, it's funny....everyone is really pro or con Raccoon! Also, I totally misspelled raccoon the whole post and everyone has been nice enough to not mention it.
DeleteBoo on the RSV. Yay for the run!
ReplyDeleteAnd ewww on the pet idea! Racoons and bats both give me the creeps!
I agree Boo to RSV. It's like I've regressed to a small child immunologically (I think that I just made that word up). I think I've just about convinced DH that a raccoon is not in our future plans as man and wife.
