Inside he came and then the naming began. That makes it sound like we have a family Sorting Hat. Not really. He ended up dubbed Barnabus. Or Boo. Or Bubby. Or really whatever we call him. Barnabus is a likable fellow. He will talk to you, he will jump onto your lap at any moment, he'll try to help with the crossword puzzle, he will drool on you, he ticks like a timebomb when he sleeps, he still gets lost in the house 13 years later, he has the diabeetus like Wilford Brimley and he is the stupidest most lovable cat. We often say it's not shocking that his mother abandoned him.
But we can't imagine life without him.

ReplyDeleteIf Boo could talk I'm sure he'd have some stories!
DeleteAwww...nothing like the love a rescue pet :) If we didn't have a baby I think we'd have 10 pets (instead of just our one dog) - when baby is older we will probably turn into crazy dog people!
ReplyDeleteAt least crazy dog people can let them outside....it's the crazy cat lady I may turn into that makes me nervous. I have a vision of myself covered in a cat fur blanket and DH running for the hills in about 20 years!
DeleteSounds like a sweet guy! If we lived somewhere that allowed us more than one pet, I'm sure we'd have a ton of dogs. For now our one dog and four kids is plenty! Visiting from Mama Kat's
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that my roommate owns the house so we have both a dog and a kitten...both of which are hers and when I get married next year I'm going to miss them so much!
