We are less than 4 months away from the big I Do. We're finishing up the invitations, completing little touches with friends, waiting on wedding bands (the kind you wear) and getting fittings done. Showers and bachelorette/bachelor parties have yet to happen. We're already bittersweet that so many great friends are coming into town for this affair yet we won't get to just sit down and spend time with all of them.
The overarching concern in my heart is making the transition/redefining the lines from daughter to wife, from fiance to wife, from fiance to sister in law, from fiance to daughter in law. The whole process of planning a wedding, preparing for a marriage, to leave behind what was and move toward what will be has been exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time.

ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how fast the last 9 months have gone by. We still have so much to do! But we are enjoying the little parts of planning that we can do together, like the pinwheel bouquets.
