So is anyone else out there confused about the saying "Fall Back, Spring Forward?" To me this makes as much sense as the whole tornado warning system. I tend to fall forward and spring (or rock) slightly back. Who falls back unless they fall off a chair? Am I the only one who is gravitationally challenged? Regardless, whether it was the time change, the 8 mile run or the Girl's Night yesterday I did not get to sleep until well after 1am. A horrendous hour, 1am. Today has involved sore muscles, extra coffee and musing about whether or not the green sparkly toes were a good St Patrick's Day choice.
The tornado is equally confusing to me. Why is it a watch when the conditions are ideal for one and a warning when one has been sighted? Doesn't it make more sense to warn that a tornado could form and then watch for the tornado that someone saw? Anyone? Bueller?
The exciting but unexpected outcome of my weekend was a new laptop. My trusty Toshiba was 6 years old and contracted a fatal virus. There are some seriously scary people out there who manufactor these viruses that will destroy your hard drive. Thank heavens I had the vast majority of stuff on a jump drive and my pictures, documents etc are fine. DH and I figured out how to transfer all my music from my iPod into the new computer. Otherwise I was looking at losing 1500 songs. Thank heavens for DH!
I hope y'alls weekends were not as technologically eventful as mine!

Spring forward, fall back. I always try to think of it as springing forward - like a leap of faith or something. Both feet in.
ReplyDeleteToo optimistic? :-)
p.s. Love the green sparkles.
Nance, totally optimistic, but I can use some extra optimism lately! Thanks for the different perspective.
DeleteI am struggling here with the time change, too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I need to paint my toes green :-)
Any color toes helps in every situation is my thought. How are the twins handling the change?
