Change the World

This is a post written on the fly. Because what I have to say cannot wait.

Watch the video below. I don't care that it's 30 minutes long. I don't care that you have dishes to wash and laundry to do. If you think you can't spare it because you have kiddos, I beg you to watch this video. I promise it will be worth the short time that you need to watch it.

Read Kristen's post at A Little Something For Me
Read "Genocide and America" by Samantha Power.
Read "We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will Be Killed With Our Families" by Philip Gourevitch

All too often we look past those that need us as a country because it does not benefit us financially or in other foreign policy negotiations. It is despicable how easily others are overlooked because there is no worldly gain to be obtained. When did human life become synonymous with wealth? Worse yet, when did wealth and foreign policy begin to supersede our responsibility to get involved and fight for those with no voice?

Those who have no voice cannot fight back. They cannot gain the attention of those in power because they have no voice.

Would you leave them voiceless?

Let's make Kony famous until there is no depraved, dark, small, evil corner of the world for him to hide in without being recognized.
